Towboat Golf Invitational

Thanks to the support of our title sponsors, corporate sponsors, committee, golfers and volunteers, the 2017 Towboat Invitational raised nearly $300,000 to benefit Virginia Mason and the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon!

The annual Towboat Golf Invitational drew golfers from across the country. Now in its 18th year, the event was made possible by title sponsors Foss Maritime and Sause Bros.

“Our industry is kind of a ‘golfaholic’ industry,” says Jeff Horst, Commercial Director at Foss Maritime, a provider of harbor, towing, and logistic services to large ships in North America for 128 years. “They like to play golf, they are happy to donate to a good cause, and it’s a really fun event for them. So it’s a win-win-win.” Jeff says, the invitational is so popular that the same participants return each year and make larger donations, he adds.

That feeling is also shared by Sause Bros. “Sause Bros. is once again proud to be one of the title sponsors of the Towboat,” says Erin McClanahan, Hawaii Marketing Manager at Sause Bros. “It is an outstanding event that allows us as an industry to come together to give back to such worthy organizations. We feel fortunate to have partnered with these great causes and look forward to continuing our support.”

Since its inception, the Towboat Invitational has raised more than $3.5 million for Virginia Mason and the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon.
