Willamette Dental Group, the largest multispecialty group dental practice in the Northwest, became a Virginia Mason corporate partner in 2015. Their donations support events that benefit the Bailey-Boushay House, Virginia Mason Medical Center, and Benaroya Research Institute.
“The work that Virginia Mason does is very consistent with our four core values of innovation, health, compassion, and integrity,” explains Randy Cline, Chief Business Development Officer. “So we really wanted to provide some financial support, knowing that the good work that’s being done is all directed back to impacting lives in a positive way and helping people in need.”
“Many of the things that make Virginia Mason different are similar to what makes Willamette Dental Group different,” he further notes. “We embrace change—dramatic, transformational change. We encourage innovation at all levels of employees in the company. And we are continually focused on remaining at the forefront of advances in oral health care, for the good of our patients.”
Founded in 1970 by two dentists who wanted to focus on prevention, Willamette Dental Group now has more than 1,400 employees and serves nearly 450,000 patients in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Their dental plan is among those offered to Virginia Mason employees.
Philanthropy allows them to show gratitude, according to Randy. “We believe it is important to give back to the communities that have allowed us to grow, prosper, and serve more patients than ever before,” he elaborates. “Being able to give back is an honor and a privilege.”
